The UK Electricity Markets Course

UK Electricity MarketsDramatic past changes and many future challenges mark out the UK Electricity Market. This one-day course provides a complete overview of the UK electricity scene which will enable you to grasp where our electricity comes from, who regulates it, how it is paid for, and why it is (mostly) available at the flick of a switch.

After we have explained what the electricity market is you will explore with us the commercial and physical market. We will then delve into electricity and the environment and how COP 21 will affect our power generation both now and into the future. We will also look at how the power market may develop over the next five years and beyond.

This is an introduction to the UK electricity markets and designed for: New staff in existing power companies, regulators and consultancies, graduate trainees joining the energy industry, experienced staff moving into electricity marketing, lawyers, consultants, those dealing with contracts and customers, financiers and traders.
