The European Electricity Markets Course
Electricity markets across Europe have changed dramatically over the last decade as market liberalisation, privatisation, structural change and changing power generation dynamics have replaced the status quo of European energy, with Brexit promising further unknown change.
Over the two days you will gain a sound understanding of the complexities of the European electricity markets, explore the methods used by different countries across Europe and participate in two different interactive trading and balancing scenarios. You are free to ask questions from the trainers who are both experts in this field and there will be plenty of opportunities for discussion.
This course is designed for: Companies entering European electricity markets, industry workers looking to better understand the changing nature of the European energy markets, commercial and planning staff of energy and related industries, lawyers, accountants and consultants working with clients or interested in European energy.

Roy Dinsmore became an independent consultant in January 2010. Between 1990 and 2009 Roy worked for RWE Npower and its predecessors, originally as a UK energy trader, and between 2000 and 2005 as a European energy trader, where he established RWE Npower's European Power trading desk.
