ETS – The Emissions Trading Scheme Course
The last 20 years have seen the development of multi-billion dollar carbon emissions trading markets as part of attempts to curb and reverse the effects that carbon emissions are having on our environment.
The Emissions Trading one-day course will help you to understand how emissions trading relates to the science of climate change and to the international agreements, such as UNFCCC, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. We will explore together how the EU Emissions Trading Scheme operates, focusing particularly on the 3rd phase which runs from 2013 – 2020 and how it interacts with wider global developments following Paris. You will also learn about the range of trading contracts, price history and registries.
This is an introduction to emissions trading and designed for: New staff and those needing to understand the implications of emissions legislation on their business, lawyers, accountants and consultants who will benefit from a better understanding of the scheme and anyone who wants to understand what this is and how to trade in it.
